Wat is Plexiglas?

Uw fotokunst van helder Acrylaat/ Plexiglas heeft verfijnde details van hoogwaardige kwaliteit. Deze transparant gekleurde platen zijn niet alleen dertig keer zo sterk als glas, maar ook de helft lichter.

 

Acrylglas geeft een mooie finish waardoor de fotokunst een luxe uitstraling krijgt. Het heeft mooie & intense kleuren, Door de dieptewerking komen de fotokunst goed tot zijn recht.

 

Wij staan garant achter onze fotokunst, uw fotokunst is een ware eye-cather in jouw interieur.

 

In tegenstelling tot wat de naam doet vermoeden, is plexiglas officieel geen glassoort, maar kunststof. Het is echter zo helder en transparant, dat het vaak voor dezelfde functies wordt gebruikt als glasplaten. 

Het verschil met echt glas is vrijwel niet te zien. Andere namen voor plexiglas zijn perspex en Acrylglas, en de officiële naam van het materiaal is Acrylaat. Plexiglas heeft een aantal belangrijke voordelen ten opzichte van gewoon glas:

Sterker dan dubbelglas.

Plexiglas is dus geen echt glas, maar een kunststof. Hierdoor is het vele malen sterker dan glas. De bekendste eigenschap van plexiglas is dat het flexibeler en stootvaster is dan glas en minder snel zal breken. Een nog iets sterkere variant is polycarbonaat. Een polycarbonaat plaat is ruim 250 maal sterker dan glas, en daarmee vrijwel onbreekbaar.
 

Minder gewicht
Bovendien is plexiglas ongeveer half zo zwaar als gemiddelde glassoorten. Een plaat met een dikte van 5 mm weegt per vierkante meter slechts 6 kilo. Daarmee is Plexiglas uitermate geschikt voor toepassingen waar een grote gewichts- besparing gewenst is ten opzichte van glas. 


Plexiglas is duurzaam

Daarnaast is Plexiglas doorgaans licht- en UV-bestendig. Uitermate geschikt om als wanddecoratie te gebruiken!

Plexiglas is duurzaam, verkleurt en verweert niet, en blijft er vele jaren lang uitzien als nieuw.
 

Zijn er ook nadelen?
Plexiglas is weliswaar steviger dan glas, maar aan de oppervlakte zachter, en daardoor gevoeliger voor krassen. Daardoor niet te gebruiken als tafelblad.

 

 

Wat is Dibond?

 

Alu- panel platen zijn opgebouwd uit drie lagen als een opgebouwde sandwichplaat. De buitenste twee lagen zijn gemaakt van 0,3 millimeter dik aluminium. De kern is gemaakt van polyethyleen- zwart kunststof. 

 

Door het gebruik van Aluminium is dit plaatmateriaal zeer licht van gewicht, maar wel erg stevig en duurzaam. 

 

Het print- resultaat op dit materiaal is strak en egaal en dibond is UV- en weerbestendig, daarom leent dit materiaal zich goed voor wanddecoratie buiten in de tuin of op het terras.

 

Dibond is niet alleen erg populair voor interieur- toepassingen zoals wanddecoratie maar ook geweldig als een mooie achterwand in de keuken of badkamer.

 

Voor de badkamer raden we aan de afstandhouders met aan elke hoek een boorgat om de afstandhouders in te voegen. Geef deze informatie door bij de bestelling- dan voeren wij deze door.

Combineer 3mm. Dibond met een toplaag van 3mm. Acryl voor een duurzame en luxueuze uitstraling.

 

Een Dibond achterplaat zorgt voor stevigheid van de foto en het Acryl bovenop de foto creëert diepte, glans en een intensiteit aan kleuren zodat de foto een echte eye-catcher in uw interieur is.
